I've been to every continent except Antarctica, but have written more than 250 articles and four guidebooks on New England, including Lonely Planet, Frommer's, Outside Magazine's Adventure Guide to New England, and New England Seacoast Adventures. - Art Lovers—Fishermen struggling against powerful nor’easters kept Winslow Homer busy on the boulder-strewn shores of Prouts Neck, Maine. Georgia O’Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, and other early American abstractionists joined John Marin to work at his summer cottage in Deer Isle. We’ll get you there and then onward to some of the top art museums in the country, from Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts to Mass MoCA and the Clark Art Institute in the Berkshires to the Farnsworth in Rockland, Maine.
