Stephen Jermanok
Steve Jermanok has explored more than 60 countries and written
hundreds of articles on a broad range of subjects, from art to adventure.
He writes regularly for Travel & Leisure, Arthur Frommer's
Budget Travel, Men's Journal, FamilyFun, Outside, Town & Country,
Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Yankee and the New York Post.
Regarding
books, Mr. Jermanok is the author of New England Seacoast Adventures,
Frommer's Great Outdoor Guide to New England and co-author of
Lonely Planet's Guide to New England, Discovery Channel's
Backcountry Treks, Discovery Channel's Paddlesports,
Outside Magazine's Guide to Family Vacations and Men's Journal's
The Great Life. Many of his other stories can be found on

Mr. Jermanok collaborated with brother Jim to pen Passionada,
a sophisticated romantic comedy that was shot in New Bedford, Massachusetts,
the summer of 2001. It was directed by Dan Ireland (The Whole
Wide World) and stars Jason Isaacs (The Patriot), Theresa
Russell, Seymour Cassel and Emmy Rossum (Songcatcher). It
is expected to be released in 2002. Mr. Jermanok also wrote High
Moon, a full-length screenplay commissioned by Just Betzer,
the Academy Award-winning Producer of Babette's Feast.
Mr. Jermanok has lectured at numerous travel symposiums across
the country and appeared on over a dozen television and radio programs.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, he resides in Boston with
his wife and two young children.
